I am a bilingual (English/Spanish) licensed social worker holding a bachelor’s degree in social work from Northeastern Illinois University and a master’s degree from Jane Addams College of Social Work in Chicago, where I specialized in mental health. Over the years, I have worked with individuals, couples, and families facing issues such as substance use, relationship difficulties, and emotional stress. Using a trauma-informed approach, I aim to provide a warm, non-judgmental space where we can work together to foster insight, resilience, and a stronger sense of well-being. I support clients in managing emotions and relationships, and in developing skills to lead meaningful lives. I am also currently pursuing my interest in sound therapy to integrate my love for music into my therapeutic practice.
Outside of my work, I’m a musician and guitarist who enjoys repairing and restoring guitars, as well as exploring the deeper meanings behind song lyrics. I find inspiration in analyzing how music reflects our inner experiences and the emotions that connect us all. This creative process helps me stay grounded and fosters empathy and curiosity that I bring into my work with clients. Some of my musical influences include David Bowie, The Rolling Stones, Jimi Hendrix, The Beatles, Ravi and Anushka Shankar, Sting, Mr. Rogers, Paco de Lucia, Niccolò Paganini, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, and Ludwig van Beethoven.
