About Patrick Burks
Patrick had been working with families and individuals for over 20 years and considers it an honor to work with clients. He believes every individual has a story, but not everyone knows how to give voice to it. Healing comes through having a safe place to tell the story, and a safe person to hear it. Patrick holds each story as sacred, works with clients purposefully to find meaning, healing, and hope. His approach finds its foundation in attachment theory, which states that we are relational beings born into families. Relationships can be good, even great, but many times there are struggles, pain, trauma and grief. Often the reality of life cannot be changed. It is possible though to gain understanding and learn how to move forward. It is not about “getting over” something, but about moving through to a new place with hope. Patrick would love to work with you.
