Michaela Krugar is a Licensed Professional Counselor that earned her Master of Science in Counseling Psychology, specializing in School Counseling for grades K–12. Michaela has been a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) since 2024 and has worked extensively with children and adolescents since 2019.
She previously served as a School Counselor, supporting children and teens with a wide range of social, emotional, behavioral, and mental health concerns. Michaela’s therapeutic approach is individualized to each child’s developmental needs, personality, and lived experiences. She utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, and Play Therapy to help young clients build healthy coping skills, understand and express their emotions, and strengthen confidence. With younger children, she incorporates play based interventions to create a safe, comfortable environment where they can naturally communicate and process their feelings.
Michaela’s clinical areas of focus include anxiety, emotional dysregulation, anger management, ADHD, mood disorders, and other emotional and behavioral challenges. She is committed to fostering a supportive, nonjudgmental therapeutic relationship where children and families feel heard, understood, and empowered throughout treatment. Michaela is eager to bring her experience and passion for working with children and adolescents to Ellie Mental Health.
