Life can feel overwhelming when anxiety, difficult relationships, or emotions begin to shape the way you think, feel, and live. Micah believes therapy is something you figure out together. One of his favorite parts of being a therapist is hearing people’s stories and getting to know the person behind what brings them to therapy. He believes that understanding someone’s experiences, relationships, strengths, and struggles is an important part of helping them understand themselves and create change.
Micah works with children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families experiencing a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), emotional regulation difficulties, relationship challenges, depression, stress, and life transitions. Whether he is helping a child make sense of big emotions, supporting someone caught in the cycle of anxiety or OCD, or working with a couple trying to reconnect, Micah takes the time to understand each person’s unique experience. Rather than offering quick fixes, he works collaboratively with clients to recognize patterns, make sense of what they are experiencing, and find ways forward that feel meaningful and realistic.
His approach draws from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Schema Therapy, psychodynamic therapy, and attachment-informed care. While different approaches may be helpful at different times, Micah believes the relationship between therapist and client is at the center of the work. He strives to create a space where people can be honest about what is going on—even when it is complicated, uncomfortable, or difficult to put into words.
Whether you are seeking therapy for yourself, your child, or your relationship, Micah hopes to offer a place where you can feel known, think more deeply about your experiences, and work together toward something different.
