Melanie is a graduate student at Northwestern University pursuing a master’s degree in Clinical Counseling. As a veteran and military spouse, she brings a deep understanding of the unique challenges individuals, families, and service members may face. Her experience as a victim advocate with the U.S. Air Force has strengthened her commitment to providing compassionate, trauma-informed care.
Melanie is passionate about creating a safe, supportive space where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered. She enjoys working with people from diverse backgrounds and helps clients navigate anxiety, depression, grief, life transitions, and other personal challenges. Her approach is warm, collaborative, and client-centered, meeting each person where they are while fostering resilience and growth.
Drawing from Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and art therapy techniques when appropriate, Melanie tailors sessions to each client’s unique needs and goals. She believes meaningful healing begins with a trusting therapeutic relationship and feels honored to walk alongside clients on their journey toward greater well-being.
