I work with adolescents, young adults, adults, older adults, couples, and families. I support individuals facing anxiety, depression, grief and loss, substance abuse and recovery, ADHD, trauma, mood-related concerns, relationship difficulties, dementia/Alzheimer’s caregiver burnout, LGBTQ+ affirming support, and life transitions.
I have practiced as a clinician in a wide variety of clinical settings, such as Partial Hospitalization (PHP), Intensive Outpatient (IOP), Substance Abuse Outpatient (IOP), and hospice medical social work.
My approach is grounded in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) techniques. This means we’ll explore patterns in your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors while building DBT skills like mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotion regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness. Together, we’ll build your “toolbox” that will help you navigate difficult moments.
In addition to these structured approaches, I incorporate narrative and humanistic therapies that honor your story, values, and lived experiences. I believe your story matters and that healing comes not just from changing patterns, but from understanding yourself in a deeper, more meaningful way.
You can expect me to be REAL with you. I bring a balance of honesty, compassion, and respect into the room. I will support you, especially in moments when it feels like no one is in your corner. At the same time, if you’re someone who benefits from accountability, I can offer that as well. ONLY, once we’ve built a strong foundation of trust and rapport.
