Malinda King, MA is a Mental Health Counselor who is passionate about helping individuals improve their mental health and overall well-being. She earned her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Southern New Hampshire University and has experience working in hospital settings with clients across a wide range of needs and levels of care.
Malinda takes a trauma-informed, goal-oriented, and collaborative approach to therapy. She incorporates techniques from Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Interpersonal Therapy, and Supportive Talk Therapy to help clients better understand the connection between their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. She believes in building on each client’s strengths while supporting them in identifying and achieving their personal goals.
Malinda works with adolescents, adults, and older adults ages 17 to 75 and has experience supporting individuals navigating depression, anxiety, grief, and life transitions.
Outside of the therapy room, Malinda enjoys reading romance novels, watching romantic comedies, spending time at the beach, and making memories with her husband and son. Malinda looks forward to supporting individuals on their journey toward greater wellness and personal growth.
