Maitland holds a B.A. in Psychology from Anderson University and an M.A. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Grace College. She believes therapy begins with a genuine connection where you can feel safe, understood, and accepted for who you are.
Maitland takes a warm, collaborative, and strengths-based approach, meeting you where you are and helping you better understand yourself, your relationships, and the experiences that have shaped you. She primarily uses psychodynamic and person-centered approaches, while also incorporating CBT and DBT strategies. Maitland is currently completing EMDR training to support clients working through trauma and difficult life experiences.
She enjoys working with children, teens, and adults, with special interests in trauma, anxiety, and self-esteem. Maitland would be honored to walk alongside you as you take that first step toward feeling more like yourself again.
