About Maddie Benavidez
Hi, I am Maddie! I completed my Master’s in Family Therapy at Mercer University and see clients under the supervision of a licensed therapist.
My approach centers around multicultural competence. I recognize how external factors can play a role in shaping mental health. I utilize narrative therapy while incorporating trauma-informed methods. I work with individuals, couples, and families navigating depression, high-functioning anxiety, grief, burnout, interpersonal conflict, self-esteem struggles, and trauma. I have a special interest in supporting those navigating OCD with the use of exposure response prevention (ERP). Alongside experience working with children using play therapy or DBT.
My experience involves culturally responsive care while working across diverse backgrounds, and as a former athlete myself, I bring firsthand experience with sports performance into my work as well.
I can’t wait to get to work with you
