Hello! My name is Lyana Costantino, and I am a Master’s Level Clinical Mental Health Counseling student at The College of New Jersey.
I have experience working with clients with various reasons for coming to counseling including addiction recovery, life transitions, social difficulties, and various mental health challenges and struggles. I have specific educational experience in trauma-informed care, LGBTQ+ specific challenges, neurodiversity including Autism, ADHD, and Tourette Syndrome, and disability, chronic pain, and chronic illness-specific mental health issues.
I am passionate about mental health and helping others. No one should have to feel alone in their journeys, and it is a privilege to be able to work alongside individuals in making changes in their lives.
My goal is to offer a welcoming space where individuals can authentically express themselves without judgement. I believe that it is important to build connection within the therapy space and to focus on every individual’s unique needs.
While it can be helpful to start therapy with a specific goal or objective in mind, this is not a requirement in starting the process. Therapy can be a place to work through what you are managing or facing, the goals you would like to set and, what you are aiming to accomplish throughout the process.
Outside of the office, I enjoy drawing, crocheting, and playing video games.
