About Loretta Forshey
Loretta earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Southern New Hampshire University and her Master of Social Work from the University of Kentucky, along with a Graduate Certificate in Clinical Social Work. Her clinical experience includes working in private practice, outpatient mental health, and hospital settings, including Dayton Children’s Hospital. During her clinical internship, she worked within the psychiatry department, facilitating therapeutic groups for high-risk children in a day treatment program and supporting children and families in outpatient care.
Her approach is grounded in cultural humility, trauma-informed care, and a strengths-based perspective. She believes in creating a safe, supportive environment where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered. She works collaboratively with children, adolescents, and families, focusing on resilience, meaningful connection, and positive change while providing compassionate, family-centered care.
