Lisa Wilson, M.A., Resident in Counseling
I believe everyone deserves a place where they feel seen, heard, and supported. Whether you’re experiencing anxiety, relationship challenges, overwhelming stress, grief, or a major life transition, my goal is to provide a warm, judgment-free space where you can explore your thoughts and emotions at your own pace. I believe healing happens through genuine connection, and I am committed to walking alongside you with compassion, authenticity, and respect.
I earned my Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Southern New Hampshire University after a career dedicated to serving others. As a U.S. Marine Corps veteran, I understand that life can ask us to be strong for long periods of time. Reaching out for support isn’t a sign of weakness, it’s an act of courage. My experiences have shaped the empathy, resilience, and understanding I bring into every counseling session.
My counseling approach is rooted in person-centered therapy while integrating Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI). I believe every client has unique strengths, and together we can identify practical strategies that support healing, personal growth, and lasting change. Therapy is a collaborative process, and I strive to create an environment where clients feel empowered to discover their own strengths and move toward the life they want.
I am especially passionate about helping people who have spent so much time taking care of others that they’ve forgotten to care for themselves. I enjoy working with adults navigating anxiety, stress, relationship concerns, self-esteem, and life transitions. I also have a passion for supporting military service members, veterans, and their families as they navigate the unique challenges that can come with military life.
Beginning therapy can feel overwhelming, but you don’t have to face life’s challenges alone. My hope is that every client leaves feeling heard, valued, and equipped with the tools to move forward with confidence. It would be an honor to be part of your journey toward healing and growth.
