Kimberly is a provisionally-licensed Mental Health Counselor in the State of New York. She holds a Master of Science in Education in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from The College of Saint Rose, a Master of Science in Forensic Mental Health from The Sage Colleges and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Brooklyn College. Kimberly is primarily interested and specializes in underserved populations, specifically BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, adoptees and the neurodiverse communities who are exploring identity and working through loss, grief, and trauma.
She uses a multicultural, trauma informed lens and mainly works from an Existential/Humanistic perspective with a Feminist approach. Her goal is to value the meanings the client creates through their experiences so they can lead a life of autonomy and authenticity. Along with these theoretical orientations, Kimberly also uses motivational interviewing and CBT interventions as she believes the client is the expert in their own life and can achieve change by exploring life experiences. If you are looking to find meaning to life, Kimberly welcomes you into a safe space to begin your healing journey!
