Kelene Boyd Ed.S., LPSC, NCC is a counselor dedicated to helping children, adolescents, and women navigate life’s challenges in a safe, supportive, and compassionate environment. With a background as a Professional Licensed School Counselor, she brings years of experience working with children and families. She specializes in Child-Centered Play Therapy and has a deep passion for supporting children with developmental differences while helping families build stronger, healthier relationships.
Kelene’s professional interests include strengthening the parent-child relationship and empowering caregivers as active participants in the healing process. She is the first author of an International Journal publication exploring the use of filial therapy to strengthen the family system for children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), reflecting her commitment to evidence-based, family-centered care.
Her therapeutic approach is holistic, client-centered, and tailored to each individual’s unique needs. She integrates a variety of evidence-based therapeutic modalities because she believes there is no one-size-fits-all approach to healing. By meeting clients where they are, Kelene creates a trusting therapeutic relationship where clients feel valued, understood, and empowered to make meaningful changes.
Outside of her practice, Kelene enjoys spending time with her husband and their two boys. She is actively involved in her church community and values faith, family, and meaningful connection. She considers it a privilege to walk alongside clients as they pursue healing, growth, and hope.
