Joy is passionate about cultivating a creative, safe, and collaborative therapeutic environment where clients feel seen, respected, and empowered. Her work is deeply client-centered and grounded in empathy, authenticity, and respect for each person’s lived experience.
With a background in Social Work, Women’s, Genders, and Sexualities Studies, and Addiction and Substance Use, Joy draws from a range of philosophical and therapeutic frameworks to support healing and growth. She values connection and believes meaningful change happens when people feel understood and supported without judgment.
Joy has experience working with youth, teens, adults, Veterans, individuals experiencing homelessness, people navigating substance use concerns, and those within the LGBTQ+ and BIPOC communities. She has a particular interest in supporting individuals experiencing symptoms of OCD, as well as anxiety, and brings an intersectional lens to her work, offering holistic, individualized care that honors the full complexity of each client’s identity and story.
