If your child is neurodivergent, you’ve probably sat through a lot of meetings about what they can’t do. School can be hard. Friendships can be confusing. Big feelings can turn into big behaviors, and everyone ends up exhausted.
Hi, I’m Jessica LeFevre. I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Board Certified Behavior Analyst, and I work virtually with school-aged kids, teens, young adults, and families through Ellie’s Waukesha and Hales Corners clinics. Autism and ADHD are my specialty, along with the anxiety, depression, trauma, and behavior challenges that so often travel with them.
Sessions with me are creative and individualized. With younger client’s we might use play, sand tray, or art. With teens and young adult’s we talk, we problem-solve, and we build strategies that fit how your brain actually works. I pay attention to the whole person, not just the diagnosis.
You don’t need a plan before you reach out. Families often come to me feeling like they’ve tried everything. That’s a fine place to start.
I draw on CBT, attachment-based and trauma-sensitive approaches, Parent-Child Interaction Therapy, and behavioral strategies grounded in my BCBA training, so the support extends beyond the session into home and school.
I meet with clients virtually, which works well for a lot of the families I see. If you’d like someone who understands neurodivergence from the inside of the work, I’d be glad to help.
