Jaeung (Jay) Park is an outpatient psychotherapist and board-certified music therapist who believes that true healing often goes beyond just talking. With a master’s degree in Counseling from Drexel University, Jay combines proven approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) with his expertise in Music Therapy.
His goal is to help clients not only understand their stories but also to collaboratively navigate their emotions in a way that feels safe and meaningful.
Jay’s approach is shaped by a rich tapestry of life experiences and a deeply culturally attuned, aware perspective. Fluent in both English and Korean, and drawing from his background as a veteran who served in a specialized crisis-response unit in South Korea, he brings a calm, steady presence to his work.
Jay has supported people through some of life’s most difficult moments, including time in inpatient psychiatric units and substance use detox centers, Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP), as well as Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP), helping clients facing trauma, anxiety, and complicated family struggles. He meets people exactly where they are, with compassion and openness.
At the core of Jay’s work is a trauma-informed approach that prioritizes safety, therapeutic connection, and genuine care. Whether he’s helping someone learn new coping skills or using music to gently unlock emotions, Jay’s wish is for every person to feel seen, supported, and empowered to build real, lasting resilience in their lives.
