Janie is a Licensed Professional Counselor with certification in Play Therapy. She graduated from Arkansas State University with her Ed.S. degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and Play Therapy Certification. Janie believes that therapy is for everyone! Her passion for helping others shines through her Adlerian theoretical approach with emphasis on family dynamics, childhood experiences, and overall self-acceptance.
Janie uses evidence-based and relational interventions to thoroughly support her client’s growth. Her collaborative approach allows clients to feel empowered to overcome hardships and feel confident in leading a fulfilling life. Janie has experience treating adults, teens, children & parents. Janie treats anxiety, depression, trauma, low self-esteem, autism, ADHD, child-parent relationships, interpersonal relationships, and life transitions.
In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her loved ones, exercising, and traveling. Janie recognizes that being vulnerable can feel scary and always aims to provide an emotionally safe space for her clients.
