About Jamie Szepesi
My experience as a clinician includes a wide range of social work and treatment settings. My background includes acute and residential inpatient units, group therapy, work with children and families, pregnancy and postpartum care, addiction recovery, and supporting individuals impacted by gang affiliation, HIV/AIDS, human trafficking, and commercial sex work. My passion for social work has also taken me internationally to Nairobi, Kenya, where I worked with marginalized communities.
As a therapist, I bring strong dedication to my work and a deep respect for cultural sensitivity and each client’s unique identity. I strive to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients can explore their experiences and feel empowered to make meaningful changes in their lives.
My approach is humanistic, client-centered, strengths-based, and integrative. I believe that every individual has the capacity for growth and positive change when given the right support and environment.
I work with children, adolescents, and adults, and my areas of focus include parenting, divorce, pregnancy and postpartum concerns, addiction, depression, anxiety, ADHD, and immigrant and refugee adjustment.
I am EMDR-trained and incorporate trauma-informed practices into my work.
