I am a Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern (RMHCI) currently working toward full licensure in the state of Florida. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Health Sciences from the University of South Florida and my Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Walden University in Minnesota.
I have experience working with children, adolescents, and adults in outpatient mental health settings. I have provided psychotherapy to individuals navigating a range of concerns, including trauma, relationship difficulties, self-harm behaviors, suicidal ideation, depression, and anxiety. My clinical work is grounded in evidence-based practices, and I approach therapy with a focus on collaboration, safety, and empowerment.
I am trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), and Narrative Therapy. Through Narrative Therapy, I help clients explore how life experiences and significant events have shaped their personal stories and sense of identity, while also identifying alternative narratives that emphasize resilience, growth, and possibility. My trauma-informed approach supports clients in processing difficult experiences while developing healthier coping strategies and thought patterns.
I strive to provide an inviting, nonjudgmental therapeutic environment where clients feel heard, supported, and understood. Building a strong therapeutic alliance is central to my work, as I believe meaningful change occurs when individuals feel safe enough to speak openly, grow intentionally, and heal at their own pace.
I am proud of my Haitian heritage and value cultural humility in my work.
