Dr. Helen Littrell is a Licensed Psychologist with over a decade of experience providing therapy to individuals facing a wide range of emotional and life challenges. She strives to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients feel seen, heard, and supported as they navigate complex emotions and experiences.
Originally from Australia, Dr. Helen brings both professional expertise and personal lived experience to her work. As someone living with an invisible illness, she understands the challenges of navigating chronic health concerns, uncertainty, changing identities, fatigue, and experiences that are not visible to others. Dr. Helen specializes in working with individuals experiencing suicidal ideation or loss, self-harm, depression, grief, relationship difficulties, and severe mental health concerns. She is a CAMS-trained clinician with significant experience working with suicide-related concerns.
Her approach is grounded in person-centered and humanistic therapy and is informed by techniques from Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT), systems theory, and feminist therapy. She believes every person has inherent worth, dignity, and the capacity for growth. Through collaboration, empathy, skill-building, and reframing, she helps clients strengthen emotional regulation, improve relationships, develop effective coping strategies, and build lives that feel meaningful and aligned with their values.
Dr. Helen is committed to providing culturally responsive, trauma-informed care that honors each client’s unique experiences and identities. She remains dedicated to ongoing learning and professional growth to provide the highest quality care possible. Whether clients are navigating mental health concerns, chronic illness, major life transitions, or simply feeling stuck, she considers it a privilege to walk alongside them as they rediscover hope, build resilience, and create the life they deserve.
