Hanna Strand is a warm and empathetic therapist dedicated to creating a safe, respectful space where clients can feel understood, supported, and empowered to grow. She works with adolescents and adults ages 14–64, meeting each client where they are and recognizing that they are the expert in their own life.
With a master’s in social work and a background in Psychology and Women’s Studies, Hanna takes a flexible, whole-person approach to therapy. Her areas of focus include ADHD, generalized anxiety, depression, and life adjustments and transitions. She works collaboratively with clients to better understand their thoughts, emotions, behaviors, and patterns while developing practical tools that fit their individual needs and lives.
Hanna integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) techniques, mindfulness, and somatic practices into her work. Her approach emphasizes the connection between the mind and body and incorporates present-moment awareness to help clients become more attuned to their thoughts, emotions, physical sensations, and behavioral patterns. She uses mindfulness and mind-body practices to support emotional regulation, self-awareness, coping skills, and greater connection with oneself.
Hanna believes therapy should be individualized, collaborative, and grounded in compassion. Her goal is to help clients build a deeper understanding of themselves, develop confidence in navigating life’s challenges, and create meaningful and sustainable change.
