Frances graduated with a Masters of Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Loyola University New Orleans and specializes in anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, and working closely with the LGBTQ+ community. Working from a person-centered perspective, Frances focuses on the therapeutic relationship as a tool for effective therapy as well as utilizing other techniques such as CBT and psychodynamic approaches. Frances aims to create a space where clients feel heard, understood, challenged, engaged, and enlightened. Frances views therapy as a tool to increase self-awareness, gain insight, and experience an authentic, empathetic relationship. Frances approaches therapy through a strength-based theory as well, and she believes that all people have the capability to get to where they want and need to be, but life happens and we are all doing the best we can with what we have at the time. She views therapy as a continual learning process for both the therapist and the client. Outside of work, Frances is passionate about animal welfare and enjoys spending time with her dog, Clint.
