If you’re looking for a therapist who will support you, be real with you, and gently challenge you when needed, I might be a good fit for you. I’m passionate about creating a space where you can talk openly, feel understood, and explore how your experiences and identity have shaped you.
I work with children, teens, young adults, parents, and adults navigating anxiety, stress, emotional regulation, relationships, and life transitions. With children and teens, I focus on coping skills, self-esteem, school stress, identity, and communication, while helping parents better understand and support their child’s needs. I also support children and families navigating the IEP process and advocating for their needs, including those managing ADHD, autism, anxiety, and diverse learning needs. With young adults and adults, therapy may focus on burnout, relationships, boundaries, identity, career and family stress, and navigating change.
As a first-generation Mexican American, I understand the cultural values, expectations, and stigma that can surround mental health. I strive to provide culturally responsive care that recognizes how family, culture, relationships, and lived experiences can influence mental health.
My approach is strengths-based, trauma-informed, and draws from CBT and DBT-informed strategies. I help you understand patterns, build coping skills, and make changes that actually fit your life. We may also explore different parts of you so you can better understand your reactions, strengthen self-awareness, and feel more in control.
I earned my Master’s degree in Social Work from Northeastern Illinois University. My goal is to help you make sense of what you’re feeling, develop healthier patterns, and feel more confident navigating life’s challenges. You don’t have to have it all figured out to begin, and you don’t have to do it alone. We’ll figure it out together.
