Hi! I’m Emmy Strongwater, a therapist in Longmont, Colorado, currently earning my Master of Social Work at Metropolitan State University of Denver. I enjoy working with teenagers and young adults, and I provide both individual and couples therapy. I believe therapy works best when you feel like you can genuinely be yourself. My priority is to create a warm, safe, and nonjudgmental space where you can be vulnerable, feel heard, and work through whatever is bringing you to therapy. I take a collaborative approach and believe that you know yourself best — I’m here to help you make sense of what you’re experiencing and figure out what comes next. I’m particularly interested in working with anxiety, depression, major life transitions, academic stress, and challenges with everyday executive functioning. I also care deeply about the mind-body connection and helping people take care of their whole selves—not just their thoughts, but their heads, hearts, and bodies. Life can feel heavy sometimes, but I’d love to help make it feel a little lighter. I bring warmth, authenticity, curiosity, and a good sense of humor to my work, and I hope therapy can be a place where you feel both supported and understood. If you’re looking for someone to walk alongside you — not someone to tell you how to live your life — I’d love to connect.
