About Colby Brooks
I’m a therapist who’s passionate about helping people heal and feel more like themselves again, without judgment, pressure, or pretense. I work with emerging adults and adults navigating trauma, anxiety, relationship stress, and major life transitions. Whether you’re dealing with burnout, struggling with boundaries, or trying to untangle patterns that no longer serve you, I’m here to help you sort through the mess and move forward.
I hold a Master’s in Counseling from DePaul University with a concentration in College Counseling and Student Affairs. My background in community mental health and higher education shaped the way I show up in the therapy room: down-to-earth, affirming, and collaborative. I pull from Person-Centered Therapy and CBT, while adapting my style to meet your unique needs and lived experiences.
I care deeply about creating space for people of all backgrounds, especially women and folks carrying the weight of trauma or intergenerational pain. My goal is to help you move from survival mode to a place of clarity, confidence, and emotional freedom.
When I’m not in session, you can find me cooking, decorating, catching a good show, or indulging in all things beauty and skincare.
