About Ashton Cobb
Hi! My name is Ashton. I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) and Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT). I received my bachelor’s degree in psychology from Malone University and my master’s degree in counseling from The University of Akron. I have experience working with anxiety, depression, and ADHD, and I have worked with couples, teens, and children in many different agencies. I approach counseling with the intention of providing my clients with a supportive environment where they can fully express their thoughts and feelings. I strive to understand and empathize with the different circumstances and situations clients bring to counseling. Throughout my career, I have utilized different interventions and strategies from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Person-Centered Therapy, and Structural Family Therapy. Therapy is a collaboration between the clinician and the client, in which the client is the expert in their own life and the clinician is the expert in the field. If you are looking for someone who is in your corner throughout the different stages of your life, well, I cannot wait to meet you.
Outside the office, I enjoy spending time with my friends and family. I am a homebody, so there is always a chance I will be home reading, watching a favorite show, or painting.
