I attained my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health counseling from Walden University. I specialized in Trauma and Crisis and Military Culture and Families. I have an eclectic background and have worked with individuals with developmental disorders, those experiencing or having experienced domestic violence, families and children with multiple disorders or at risk of placement, those at risk of homelessness, and incarcerated individuals.
I am client-centered and tend to utilize Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT): strategic family therapy, and Motivational Interviewing (MI). I think meeting the clients where they are is fundamental in moving them into a place of healing and growth.
