Hi! I’m Andy, I graduated from Merrimack College, with a Master’s
degree in Social Work. I am working towards obtaining my LICSW (Licensed Independent Social Worker license), and studying trauma-informed care, with a primary interest in helping people as they work towards becoming the best version of themselves.
I work with individuals of all ages, including those dealing with grief,
addressing behavioral issues, working to build self-esteem, and dealing
with life challenges.
The approach that I follow is eclectic; in a nutshell, it involves finding
sound, evidence-based practices that will help each particular client make
progress towards their goals, incorporating different elements such as
strengths-based therapy, motivational interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral
Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) elements,
mindfulness, and trauma-informed therapeutic approaches. Yet it all starts
simply with actually listening, as each person is the best expert on their life, their strengths (and weaknesses), and telling their own story.
