With a strong background in child and adolescent psychology, education, and applied behavioral analysis, Amanda brings a thoughtful, collaborative approach to therapy. She has experience working with children, teens, and families in school and community-based settings, supporting concerns such as anxiety, depression, school-related stress, family conflict, and significant life transitions. Amanda works to help clients better understand their emotions, recognize their strengths, develop healthier coping skills, and build the confidence to navigate challenges both inside and outside the home.
Amanda believes that **a difficult chapter does not have to define a child’s story.** She helps clients explore the beliefs and experiences that may be holding them back while discovering new ways to understand themselves, communicate their needs, and approach challenges. Her therapeutic approach emphasizes resilience, personal growth, and the understanding that meaningful change is possible. She also values collaboration with families, recognizing the important role that supportive relationships play in a child’s emotional well-being.
Amanda earned her Bachelor of Arts in Social Science, with a concentration in Psychology, from Dominican University of Blauvelt and her Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy, specializing in Child and Adolescent Psychology, from National University. She was inducted into the Delta Kappa International Marriage and Family Therapy Honor Society and is a member of the Omega Nu Lambda National Honor Society. As a former collegiate athlete who attended undergraduate school on a full basketball scholarship, Amanda brings a personal appreciation for perseverance, teamwork, discipline, and resilience—qualities she values in her work with clients and families.
Amanda believes every individual has a story worth understanding and the ability to grow beyond the challenges they face. She looks forward to partnering with children, teens, and families to **rewrite unhelpful narratives, build on existing strengths, and create a path forward filled with greater confidence, connection, and possibility.
