Dr. Gala earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Memphis, a master’s degree in Psychology and holds a Ph.D in Counseling Psychology from the University of Southern Mississippi. She supports adolescents and adults in cultivating emotional resilience, navigating inner challenges with compassion, and moving toward lives that feel meaningful and aligned. Her areas of specialty include anxiety, depression, trauma, self-esteem, grief, and identity development. Whether you’re facing painful past experiences, intense emotions, questions around identity, or uncertainty about how to move forward, Dr. Gala offers a grounded, nonjudgmental space for reflection, healing, and growth. My approach centers on building a more flexible and compassionate relationship with your inner world, while clarifying the values that matter most, so you can make choices that feel purposeful and authentic.
Dr. Gala views therapy as a collaborative process, rooted in trust, curiosity, and respect. She brings warmth, humor, and a down-to-earth presence to the therapeutic relationship, and strives to create a space where you feel genuinely seen and supported. Rather than focusing on what’s “wrong,” Dr. Gala interested in what’s possible—how you can reconnect with your own wisdom, strength, and capacity for change.
