Gurnee – Nations Drive
Gurnee, IL 60031
I work with people who have often existed outside the mainstream, including LGBTQIA+ folks, neurodivergent teens and adults, artists, musicians, goths, punks, metalheads, alternative communities, and anyone who is tired of feeling like they have to hide parts of themselves to be accepted.
My style is collaborative, direct, deeply affirming, and very human. I’ll challenge you when it helps, laugh with you when it’s needed, and sit with you in the difficult moments without trying to rush them away. Therapy with me is not about becoming a more “acceptable” version of yourself. It’s about understanding yourself with compassion, healing what hurts, and creating a life that feels authentic rather than performative.
I also understand that mental health does not exist in a vacuum. Marginalization related to LGBTQIA+ identity, neurodivergence, disability, or alternative lifestyles can leave real emotional wounds. Therapy should be a place where you do not have to explain, defend, or minimize who you are.
As a Certified Death Midwife, I also welcome conversations around grief, serious illness, anticipatory grief, mortality, and end-of-life experiences. Some of life’s hardest moments cannot be fixed, but they can be witnessed, understood, and carried with support.
I also work with clients navigating trauma, substance use through a harm reduction lens, identity exploration, alternative relationships, and major life transitions.
Healing does not require becoming more “normal”, sometimes it means becoming more fully you.
