Hi, I’m Megan. I have a master’s degree in Clinical Psychology, and I’ve mostly worked with young adults dealing with anxiety, life changes, identity, and relationships.
I care a lot about working with LGBTQ+ clients, especially being in Appalachia. Being LGBTQ+ in this region can be complicated, and I know how important it is to have spaces where you can be yourself. I want people to feel like they can talk to me without worrying about saying the wrong thing or feeling judged.
Having experienced social anxiety myself, I understand how difficult it is to open up and how easy it is to overthink things. I also know that growth is possible. That experience is part of what led me to this field, making me especially interested in working with people who struggle with anxiety or feeling out of place. I also enjoy working with individuals who are facing complex emotional and interpersonal challenges.
I have experience with CBT, ACT, and DBT, but I’m not attached to doing things one specific way. I prefer to get a sense of what works for each person and build from there. I am still early in my career, and I want to keep learning, getting better at what I do, and work with people who bring different experiences and concerns.
Outside of work, I’m usually listening to music, exploring new places, or hiking (+ Geocaching). I look forward to meeting you wherever you are on your journey!
