About Valerie Mazloom
I specialize in providing individual therapy for youth and young adult clients; specifically those navigating ADHD, depression, suicidal ideation and self-harm, anxiety, life-changes/transitions, and interpersonal conflicts. As a therapist, it is my goal to walk alongside clients as they explore and navigate their values, identity, relationships, and passions. I am an inclusive and empathetic ally, and it is my priority to provide a safe and welcoming space for anyone and everyone walking through my door.
I use an individualized care approach and combination of techniques specific to the needs of each client. Some modalities include Play Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Internal Family Systems (IFS), which are implemented using a person-centered, holistic approach.
One of the bravest things that we can do for ourselves is to take the time to acknowledge who we are, who we were, and who we are still becoming. No matter our age, we are always growing.
