About Isaias Ponpa

Hi, I’m Isaías! I’m a bilingual Licensed Social Worker providing therapy in both English and Spanish. I believe finding a therapist who understands you—your experiences, culture, relationships, and the pressures you may be carrying—can make a meaningful difference. My goal is to create a warm, affirming space where you can be yourself, talk openly, and feel genuinely seen and supported.

I work with adults navigating anxiety, identity and self-esteem, relationship challenges, academic and career stress, and major life transitions. I especially enjoy supporting young adults who may be trying to figure out who they are, where they’re going, or how to balance their own goals with the expectations of family, culture, school, or work.

As a first-generation college graduate, I understand that success and change can sometimes come with complicated emotions. The pressure to meet expectations, uncertainty about your next step, or feeling caught between different parts of your identity can be difficult to navigate. Therapy can be a place where you don’t have to have all the answers.

My approach is collaborative, culturally responsive, and strengths-based. I incorporate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and trauma-informed approaches based on your individual needs and goals. Together, we’ll explore what may be keeping you stuck, recognize the strengths you already have, and develop practical tools to help you create greater clarity, balance, and connection.

You don’t have to wait until life feels overwhelming to reach out for support. Whether you’re navigating anxiety, relationships, identity, career decisions, or simply trying to better understand yourself, we’ll start where you are and move forward at a pace that feels right for you.

Outside of the therapy room, I love spending time with family and friends, singing, playing guitar, songwriting, and watching soccer—especially when I’m cheering on Manchester United.
