I believe our relationships are at the center of our lives. They shape how connected, supported, understood, and fulfilled we feel—and when our relationships aren’t working, it can affect nearly every other area of life. Whether you’re struggling with communication, anxiety, conflict, self-esteem, or feeling stuck in patterns you can’t seem to change, therapy can help you understand what’s happening and learn how to do things differently.
My approach is warm, collaborative, direct, and solution-focused. I want to understand you, but I also want us to do something with that understanding. Together, we’ll identify what’s getting in your way, develop practical skills, and work toward the specific changes you want to make.
In our sessions, we’ll talk openly about what is happening in your life and relationships. I may challenge you to look at a situation from a different perspective, help you recognize patterns in your thoughts and behaviors, or gently point out something I’m noticing in the room. When difficult emotions come up, we may slow down and explore them together rather than immediately reacting to them. We’ll use mindfulness, cognitive behavioral techniques, communication skills, and practical tools that you can take with you outside of the therapy room.
I also take a holistic approach, considering the full picture of your life—including sleep, nutrition, exercise, stress, social connection, work, and relationships. I believe these pieces all influence how we think, feel, and function.
If there’s a specific area of your life that isn’t working the way you want it to, we’ll work together to understand why and figure out what you can do differently. I value clients who are willing to be curious, try new things, and practice what we discuss outside of sessions. Therapy with me may include communication practice, behavioral activation, tracking patterns, homework, or experimenting with new ways of responding when difficult emotions or situations come up. My goal is for the work we do together to extend beyond the therapy room and create changes you can actually feel in your everyday life.
Most importantly, I want therapy to be a place where you can be honest. You don’t have to have everything figured out before you walk through the door. You don’t even have to know exactly why you keep doing what you’re doing. We can figure that out together.
If you’re ready to better understand yourself, improve the way you communicate, break unhelpful patterns, and build healthier relationships, I’d love to work with you.
