Not sure what to expect? These are the questions people ask us before they get started.
Ellie offers a wide range of services including individual therapy, couples therapy, family therapy, online therapy, and in-person therapy along with specialized services such as medication management, psychological evaluation and testing, and other clinical specialties. Not every service, especially our specialized offerings, is available at every location. The best way to see exactly what’s offered near you is to search for your closest clinic
You do not need to have it figured out before you reach out. When you contact Ellie, we help match you with a therapist based on what you are looking for, your preferences, and what is available at your location. If you are unsure, starting with individual therapy is often a good first step.
Yes. Ellie accepts over 300 insurance plans, including many of the most widely used providers. Coverage varies by plan and location, so contact your insurance provider to understand the scope of your coverage.
All Ellie locations offer telehealth in addition to in-person sessions. Online therapy gives you access to a licensed therapist from wherever you are, with the same quality of care and the flexibility to fit around your schedule.
Fit matters, and a good therapist will tell you the same. If things do not feel right after a few sessions, Ellie can help you find someone who is a better match. The goal is for you to feel genuinely supported, not just scheduled.
You can schedule your first appointment directly through the Ellie website or by calling your local clinic. From there, we will help match you with a therapist and get you set up for your first session.
Your first session is primarily a chance for your therapist to get to know you and understand what brought you in. They may ask about your background, your current situation, and what you’re hoping to work on. You don’t need to have everything figured out before you arrive. Think of it as a conversation, not an evaluation. Read more about the first appointment in this blog.
