Oliver Mesa-Burton believes therapy should be a place where clients can take a breath, be themselves, and feel genuinely heard. Her approach is trauma-informed and focused on supporting clients without judgment or the expectation that they have everything figured out.
Oliver has several years of experience in crisis counseling, victim advocacy, and supporting individuals through trauma, difficult transitions, and some of life’s hardest moments. She also has experience working with and supporting the LGBTQ+ community, as well as a personal understanding of military life and its challenges. She has worked within the Army social work system and has experienced military life personally as a spouse.
Oliver views therapy as a collaborative process. She brings support, perspective, and a safe space while clients bring their own experiences and knowledge of their lives. Her goal is to help clients leave each session feeling more understood, grounded, and hopeful.
In her free time Oliver enjoys hiking with her chihuahua, reading fantasy books, and playing Dungeons & Dragons with friends.
