About Anissa Kurtz

Anissa provides a warm, supportive, and judgment-free space where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered to create meaningful change. She believes healing begins with a strong therapeutic relationship and works collaboratively with each client to build on their strengths and achieve their goals.
Anissa works with teens, adults, older adults, couples, and families and is a Certified Trauma Professional (CTP). Drawing from evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, and the Gottman Method for couples counseling, she tailors treatment to each client’s needs. She also incorporates psychoeducation to help clients better understand themselves and the therapeutic process.
Anissa is a Licensed Associate Counselor who earned her Bachelor of Science in Speech Pathology & Audiology and her Master of Arts in Clinical Counseling from The College of New Jersey. Her clinical experience includes community mental health, hospital, and private practice settings.
