You shouldn’t have to translate yourself to be understood in therapy — whether that means explaining your brain, your identity, or the games, shows, and interests that actually make you feel like you.
Jasper Guilbeau (he/him) is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) at Ellie Mental Health in Lincolnwood, IL, with 5 years of experience providing mental health services to clients of all ages. He takes a strengths-based, trauma-informed approach and is neurodiverse-affirming and LGBTQIA+ affirming in his practice.
Jasper is also experienced in helping clients navigate addictions and substance use concerns, and he is currently working toward becoming a registered play therapist — a specialty he brings into his work with younger clients while continuing to see teens and adults.
He’s passionate about connecting through shared interests — video and board games, movies and TV shows, pop culture, and anything wonderfully nerdy — meeting clients of every age on their own turf.
His clinical focus includes trauma, addiction and substance use, and neurodivergent- and LGBTQIA+-affirming care for clients of all ages, delivered through a strengths-based, trauma-informed lens.
Outside of sessions, Jasper is devoted to his two cats, spends time gardening, and enjoys tabletop role-playing games, video games, and crafting — interests he’s always happy to talk shop about with clients who share them.
If you’re looking for an affirming, judgment-free space — for yourself or a family member, at any age — I’d be glad to work with you. Contact Ellie Mental Health in Lincolnwood to schedule a session with Jasper.
