Sarah believes therapy begins with feeling heard, understood, and accepted for who you are. Her approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in the belief that each person brings unique strengths, experiences, identities and perspectives to the therapeutic relationship. She strives to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients can be open about what they are experiencing, explore what may be getting in the way and work toward meaningful change at their own pace.
Sarah is a Licensed Social Worker who works with adolescents and adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, grief and loss, relationship challenges and other sources of emotional stress. She uses a combination of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and supportive approaches, tailoring treatment to each client’s needs, goals, and readiness for change. Sarah takes a trauma-informed and culturally responsive approach, recognizing that our experiences are shaped by the many aspects of who we are and the communities and systems in which we live.
She welcomes clients from all backgrounds and identities, believing that therapy should be a space where you can bring your whole self. Sarah strives to be mindful of the ways that facets of our identity can intersect with our experiences and shape how we move through the world. She is committed to approaching each person with curiosity, humility, respect and openness.
Sarah views therapy as a partnership. She works collaboratively with clients to understand their experiences, identify their strengths, and find approaches that feel useful and authentic in their pathway forward.
