Lainie Weiss is a Licensed Social Worker (LSW) who works with adolescents and adults
navigating anxiety, depression, OCD, self-esteem, emotional regulation, life transitions,
relationship challenges, and other concerns that can make everyday life feel overwhelming. She
is passionate about creating a space where clients feel heard, understood, and comfortable
being their authentic selves.
Lainie takes a warm, compassionate, and collaborative approach to therapy and believes that
clients are the experts on their own experiences. She works with each client to understand their
unique needs, strengths, and goals to develop treatment strategies that feel like they resonate
with them.
Lainie primarily incorporates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment
Therapy (ACT), Emotionally-Focused Therapy (EFT), Narrative Therapy, and Dialectical
Behavior Therapy (DBT) skills into her work. She helps clients explore the connection between
their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors while developing practical tools to manage difficult
emotions, challenge unhelpful thought patterns, improve coping skills, and build greater
confidence.
Lainie believes that meaningful change does not have to happen all at once. She meets clients
where they are, celebrates progress along the way, and helps them build skills that extend
beyond the therapy room. Her goal is to provide a supportive, nonjudgmental environment
where clients can better understand themselves, feel empowered to make changes, and create
a life that feels more fulfilling and aligned with their values.
