Before becoming a therapist, I spent over a decade as a professional baseball umpire, On the field, my job wasn’t to avoid conflict, it was to stay present in it. I learned how to remain grounded when emotions ran high, listen beyond the words being spoken, and help people move THROUGH difficult moments rather than around them. From these experiences and in the therapy room, I have connected with and seen immense growth from couples and individuals alike. I find success particularly in couples feeling disconnected and isolated, and individuals who are hopeful to face their traumatic backgrounds.
Whether it be relationship conflict, personal anxiety, or just feeling stuck, I believe that genuine conversation and connection with a therapist can create meaningful change. My goal is to provide an environment where you feel comfortable being yourself, speaking openly, knowing you’ll be met with curiosity rather than judgment.
At the same time, I don’t believe meaningful growth comes from comfort alone. As trust develops between us, I won’t be afraid to ask difficult questions as I challenge perspectives and point out patterns that may be getting in your way. I ultimately believe the strongest therapeutic relationships are built on both support and accountability.
