About Annie Tarnasky
Annie Tarnasky is a Licensed Professional Counselor. Annie graduated from The George Washington University with a master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Annie has been working for several years in an outpatient community behavioral health setting, primarily with adults. Annie’s priority as a psychotherapist is to create a warm and secure therapeutic foundation where clients feel empowered to focus on achieving their individual goals. Annie’s clinical approach is based in existential-humanistic therapy, with a particular focus on trauma. Annie also utilizes EMDR to help clients reprocess past experiences that continue to impact them in the present. Annie hopes that in therapy, insights can be uncovered to help clients feel more empowered and confident to have agency over all facets of their life and human experience.
