Hi, I’m Vi! I’m a bilingual Vietnamese American Licensed Associate Counselor and Art Therapist, and I care deeply about creating a space where you can show up as your full, messy, complicated, wonderfully human self. My approach is collaborative, trauma-informed, and person-centered, with flexibility to meet you where you are. What you’re going through doesn’t exist in a vacuum, so your relationships, culture, identities, experiences, and the systems around you all matter. We can sit with what hurts, get curious about patterns, challenge perspectives when it feels helpful, and figure out together what moving forward might look like. My hope is that therapy offers you some relief, whether that means feeling understood, finding confidence, gaining clarity, or even sharing a laugh. I’m LGBTQ+ affirming, HAES-aligned, and genuinely enjoy working with children, young people, and adults.
My graduate training is in Community & Trauma Counseling with a specialization in Art Therapy, so creativity is always an option in our work. Sometimes we simply don’t have the words for what we’ve experienced, and art can offer another way to speak. I believe everyone has the capacity to create because everyone has something to express. You don’t have to be “good at art,” and the finished product is never the point. It’s about the process, the meaning you make from it, and what you discover along the way. And if art isn’t your thing? That’s completely okay, too.
Outside of therapy, I love tapping into my inner child and exploring! New foods, cultures, places, and experiences keep me curious and remind me there’s always more of the world to see.
