Laurie is a Registered Marriage and Family Therapist Intern who works with individuals, couples, and families navigating anxiety and stress, trauma recovery, life transitions, feelings of insecurity and self-doubt, and challenges within their relationships. Laurie is experienced in helping couples navigate communication difficulties, emotional disconnection, recurring conflict, infidelity, and betrayal.
Reaching out for support takes courage, and Laurie strives to provide a warm, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where clients feel heard, understood, and valued. Laurie’s therapeutic approach is grounded in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and Attachment Theory. She helps clients better understand themselves and their relationships, identify the emotions and needs that lie beneath the surface, and develop healthier, more meaningful ways of connecting with the people who matter most.
Laurie recognizes that many of life’s struggles occur within the context of relationships. Over time, we can become caught in painful patterns that leave us feeling disconnected, misunderstood, or unsure of how to move forward. Through a collaborative approach, Laurie helps clients recognize unhealthy patterns and the triggers that keep them going, explore underlying emotional needs, and work toward stronger, more secure connections.
Whether someone is seeking support individually or hoping to strengthen connection within a couple or family, Laurie believes therapy can create meaningful opportunities for greater understanding, healing, growth, and lasting change.
For clients who find strength and support in their faith, Laurie can also incorporate a Christian perspective into therapy in a way that honors their individual beliefs, values, and goals. Originally from Chicago, Laurie has called Florida home for more than 20 years. Outside of the therapy room, she enjoys baking, reading, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.
