Maria Collar is a bilingual Licensed Mental Health Counselor who provides therapy in English and Spanish. She supports children, teens, adults, couples, and families experiencing anxiety, stress, ADHD, transitions, and relationship challenges. With experience in school, community, residential, and agency settings, Maria brings a well-rounded understanding of the many factors that can affect emotional well-being.
Her approach is collaborative, compassionate, and strengths-based. Maria believes therapy works best when clients are active participants in their own growth. She draws from cognitive behavioral therapy, positive psychology, mindfulness, neuro-affirming, and trauma-informed approaches to help clients build confidence, develop effective coping skills, and create meaningful change.
Maria earned her master’s degree in Community Mental Health Counseling from St. Bonaventure University and completed a Post-Master’s Certificate in Marriage and Family Therapy.
