Trevise Higgins, MS, AMFT, is a Licensed Associate Marriage and Family Therapist in the state of Georgia and a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in New York. She earned her Master of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy from Capella University in 2023. Trevise views her clinical practice as a true privilege in this season of her life, dedicating her work to helping individuals and couples positively alter the trajectory of their personal stories
In her practice, Trevise utilizes Solution-Focused, Narrative, Cognitive Behavioral (CBT), and Attachment-Based modalities to deliver compassionate, personalized, goal-oriented care. She works extensively with clients navigating Anxiety, Depression, workplace stress, and life transitions such as moving from high school to higher education. Additionally, she specializes in supporting Black women and Black women entrepreneurs as they navigate career demands, boundary setting, and identity growth.
Trevise is committed to bridging clinical mental health support with spiritual well-being. She actively works to dismantle the stigma that professional counseling absolutely conflicts with religious or spiritual values. Therefore, offering an option to integrate faith values as they align with evidence-based practices.
Beyond her practice, Trevise cherishes quality time with the important people in her life and finds renewal in nature, particularly while walking in bright, green spaces. She humorously describes herself as “solar powered.”
