Candace has worked extensively with adolescents, adults and families, offering support through a wide range of challenges including depression, trauma, PTSD, anxiety, substance use, and interpersonal relationship issues. Candace is especially passionate about helping individuals and families navigate life’s difficulties while fostering resilience and personal growth.
Her clinical foundation is rooted in trauma and family therapy, and she brings a warm, collaborative approach to her work. Candace is well-versed in several evidence-based therapeutic modalities and most frequently draws from a Person-Centered framework. She integrates techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR), Solution-Focused Therapy, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to create individualized care plans that meet each client’s unique needs and goals.
Candace’s ability to build strong, trusting relationships with clients allows her to guide them through meaningful change in a supportive and empowering environment. She values cultural sensitivity, client autonomy, and holistic healing as essential components of the therapeutic process.
Outside of her professional life, Candace finds joy and balance through spending quality time with her family and friends. She loves to travel, unwind at the beach, and recharge with her beloved fur-baby, Jordi Bishop, who’s always ready for a good snuggle.
