About Katie Smith

Katie received her master’s degree in art therapy and counseling from Eastern Virginia Medical school (now called Macon & Joan Brock Virginia Health Sciences). Katie has experience working with children with learning disorders (dyslexia, ADHD, and autism). Katie also has experience working with adolescents with behavioral and emotional difficulties, as well as adults with intellectual disorders. Katie utilizes trauma-informed care, mindfulness strategies, art therapy techniques, and CBT. Katie’s goal is to provide a welcoming and safe environment for her patients.
